You can't put wood to exteriors for sure, rain and sun will cause damage and it will look bad. You can put ceramic tiles 9 * 18. Light weight compared to vitrified. 5-6 rs per litre + VAT = 12-13K range.

Over head tanks come in various types go for triple layer. Sintex and Kaveri are equally good. Sintex might be slightly costly. Check out warranty (Ideally 10 years).
