How often anybody gets inside the sump. Usually it's just for cleaning purpose and the labourers gets inside even with a help of a stool or ladder. Instead of creating seapage by adding any clamps I feel it's better to leave it as is.

The quote seems to be on a higher end for me..you should be able to strike a deal between 1700 to1750 per sq ft with elevation.
