Re: 60X40 BDA Appr. Site in Judicial Layout, Bangalore North
mybdasitesid , I had been to the judicial layout (before yelahanka, next to GKVK campus) way back in Feb 2006 when I was looking for a site. That time the prices were in the range of 1500-1750 per sqft and I have no doubt the prices would have gone up since then. I backed out because the layout did ...

Re: BDA OR NOT BDA
BDA is not coming up with new layouts in north Bangalore or anywhere where housing demand is growing. We all know that north Bangalore, areas around sarjapur road, ORR etc is where a lot of IT jobs are available and housing demand is increasing. Powerful people own hundreds of acres of land in these...

Re: Purchase of Lease-cum-sale BDA site
Until the owner gets the absolute sale deed, he is not supposed to sell the site. That is the whole point of BDA giving 10 years lease-cum-sale deed. The idea is to curb people applying for BDA sites with the sole intention of selling it as soon as it is allotted. Check with a lawyer before buying s...

Re: Rainwater harvesting for borewell?
Hi Friends, I had an issue with borewell motor and the electrician who came to inspect it said that water level in the borewell is not that good especially during the summer months. So I was just wondering if RWH can be used to increase the water level/table in the borewell, or is RWH used only to ...

Re: Clay bricks V/s Cement blocks
One of the common arguments favoring regular bricks is the thermal property - A house built using regular bricks is perceived to provide better insulation meaning it will be cooler inside compared to a house built with concrete blocks. My architect suggested me to go for concrete blocks as it provid...

Re: Good Contractor/Architect in JP Nagar
His charges depends on various factors like the size of the house, distance of the site from his office, nature of the expert services he may have to provide depending on the design etc etc. From what I gathered from the owners of the houses he has built, I am guessing his charges could be in the ra...

I recently met an architect in Katriguppe and also visited a few houses he has built and spoke to the owners. I am quite satisfied from my initial research and am serious...
