Re: Solid WPC as main door

Regarding pine wood: Found below paragraphs on internet that scared me, I am going to put few doors at Ground floor and they may get spray's of rainwater during heavy rain. Pine is another popular construction wood, but it’s also the wood termites seem to prefer above all. According to studies, term...

Re: Solid WPC as main door

Thanks Nivas,
I had seen pine wood door at NR woods, however they were joint pieces, not made from solid single blocks hence I thought they are not strong enough.
Do you have any contact who sells solid wood pine doors? haven't seen them anywhere else in bangalore (looking for ready made)

Solid WPC as main door

I am exploring cheap main door options for rental houses, the requirements are toughness, waterproof, sunlight proof with less maintenance (less frequent paintings). Solid wood teak/honne are good option however they are costly (14K + per panel). Don't want to go with flush/plywood as they do not ha...

Re: Aluminium window maintainance

Rate is a bit high, almost 900 per sqft. However considering no maintenance at all it is cheaper in long term.

Re: Aluminium window maintainance

Did some more research and visited lots of factories / workshop, finally selected Domal-40 aluminium windows (1.4-1.5 mm sheet thickness) with 25 micron anodized coating. No maintenance needed at all.

Aluminium window maintainance

I had finalized on aluminium windows for my house, however after reading a bit I am worried about their maintenance. e.g. what if the powder coating peels off or anodized layer breaks down? Can it be re-painted? Earlier I had though of going with uPVC but ditched that option considering > 20 years l...

Borewell digging on the road

At many places I have seen people digging out the borewell on the road, right in front of their house. Many houses in small lane's sites do it as they don't have place inside the house. But I have seen this on busy main roads as well. So I was curious to know if this is allowed as per the law? And i...

Need help in evaluating Electrical labour rates

Hi,

I need help in evaluating the attached quotes from 2 separate contractors. Wanted to check if the rates are ok as per the current market rates?
Also, which one is more economical, an item rate contract or per chadra contract?

Thanks in advance.

Process of applying for re-allotment of site

Hi,

I wanted to know how to apply for a BDA re-allotment when the originally allotted site had legal problems. Approximately how much time will it take to get the re-allotment done and what will happen to the registration charges and stamp duty that I had paid for the original site?

Thanks
