Re: House Construction - Experience

Thank you @Swamy, @Gopinath @Nagaraj @girish for your valuable feedback and time.

Your input will immensely help me and other members make the right decision while finalizing overall contractor's rate per sqft and selection of right material.

Regards,
Harshit

Re: House Construction - Experience

@Harshit for a 6500 sft, your Architect's price is higher and looks to me as a commercial price. Any Architects who is not available for you when you are in need is a waste of time, and hence cost too. Contractor estimate 2300 psft is very high too even if he giving with woodwork, then "furniture" ...

Re: Granite or vitrified

Comparing Granite with Vitrified tiles is like comparing apples to oranges. Granite is a hard and durable stone and will last you a lifetime. I am about to start construction of my house and I am only going for Italian marble and Indian/imported granite even though I do not manufacture marble and fe...

Re: BCCHS Layout, Raghuvanahalli, Kanakapura Road

Hi Shubguru, As per my finding and being a site owner in the layout, I fail to understand why these rumors are being flouted in the market. Please refer to the Bangalore Mirror article regarding the layout & its finding. http://www.bangaloremirror.com/printarticle.aspx?page=comments&action=translate...

Re: visiting Jigani for Granite and Marble

Hi sam_m400, Granite slab quality is not determined by the smoothness but by the appearance and the density of the stone. Only polish quality is determined by the smoothness. The more dense the stone is.. better polished surface it will achieve. As far as Sadharhalli is concerned. 1st quality is rar...

Re: BCCHS Layout, Raghuvanahalli, Kanakapura Road

Hi Subhguru, The layout is hassle free and only the claimed land of 11 acres and 15 guntas for which the compensation was not accepted by the original owners (farmers) was under dispute and same was posted by BCCHS in a public notice. The layout is calm and lot of construction activity has taken pla...
